Certainty of the Bible
In the military masterpiece, Sun Tzu wrote “The whole secret lies in confusing the enemy, so that he cannot fathom our real intent.” This is just as relevant in spiritual matters as it is on a physical battlefield. We read that “Satan is the father of lies” (John 8:44) so it come as no surprise that he uses confusion to help achieve his goals. Satan was able to confuse Eve and cause her to questions God’s intentions. Satan continues to use the same strategy causing many to question the accuracy of the Bible. This is not a new approach. Satan had a hand in the rebellion against Moses causing the people to question what God had actually commanded. Today the attack on the Bible is feverish and constant. Below are three short lessons that are based on defending trust in the historicity and the validity of the Bible. These are meant to be introductory lessons allowing for a deeper investigation of apologetics topics.
